Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Mechatronics Subsystem Integration Engineer in Dearborn, MI, to bridge Electronics, Mechanical Hardware, Features, and Software across vehicle programs. You will own specific fuel subsystem boundaries, transfer functions, and interfaces to ensure system performance throughout development and production.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive ICDs and diagrams, and align Agile software sprints with mechanical timelines for timely program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years’ experience delivering products, systems, Design and Release, or features from conception to launch.
• 3+ years of experience cross-functional teamwork across engineering domains.
• 3+ years of experience in cross-functional team environments.

Responsibilities

• Define electro-mechanical requirements and interfaces.
• Define subsystem electrical architectures (hardware, software, and electrotechnical requirements).
• Enable true software-hardware co-development and synchronized workflows.
• Lead subsystem execution to ensure subsystem performance on the assembly line.
• Test and validate electro-mechanical subsystems and improve first-time quality.
• Interface with Feature, System, VHE, and CVS teams for system-level feasibility.
• Develop ICDs, Subsystem Boundary Diagrams, and CDS for assigned domains.
• Lead vehicle build issue triage and data-driven containment plans.
