Job summary
Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, architect, and deploy software for precision mechatronic examination systems used to inspect irradiated Navy fuel and ATR specimens. You will work across labs and office environments with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and NRF staff to deliver robust control systems.
The role requires a BS or MS in a related field, strong C#, LabVIEW, and AcroBasic skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.
- Proficient oral and written communication.
- Creativity in problem-solving; ability and desire to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and deploy the software components of control systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers and others to deliver solutions.
- Develop design documentation and write software code in lab and office settings.
