Job summary

JLL in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team. You will repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, and install/repair automated packaging and distribution equipment across the building.

You will mentor junior technicians, follow safety procedures, document preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues. This role requires physical stamina and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical.
• 2+ years of experience in repair of material handling equipment.
• 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 1+ years blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ year knowledge with electrical principles.
• Experience with CMMS.
• Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
• Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building.
• Install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.
• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE (belts, motors, relays, etc.).
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 49 lbs; stand and walk up to 12 hours per shift.
