About The Role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will also mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Selection Process

The process takes approximately 30 days and includes application review, pre-employment assessment, video interview, and next steps communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.
  • Maintain positive relationships across Amazon Operations
  • Track and store department inventory
  • Move up to 49 lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodations

Note: Shift assignments are subject to operational requirements.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays
  • 2+ years experience in predictive and preventative maintenance
  • 2+ years repairing MHE or similar equipment
  • Reading blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Safety standards compliance
  • 1+ years troubleshooting MHE
Preferred Qualifications
  • Higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Experience with CMMS
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with PLC controls and robotic maintenance
