Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a motivated Humanoid Robotics Co-Op in Fort Mill, SC to join its Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering team. You will work alongside senior engineers, applying hands-on skills to verify designs and support prototype testing.

Responsibilities include engineering analysis, 3D CAD modeling (Creo), simulation with Ansys and Matlab, and participation in test plan development. This is an on-site opportunity for students pursuing related technical degrees.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
• Ability to commute to the assigned work location.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Analysis & Calculations: torque, force sizing, GD&T analysis.
• 3D CAD Design: Creo modeling and test fixturing for projects.
• Simulation & Modeling: Ansys FEA, Matlab simulations, hand calculations.
• Prototype Build Assistance: assist senior engineers during assembly of prototype systems bound for customers.
• Test Plan Development & Execution: draft test procedures, set up rigs, execute validation testing.
