Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice to learn to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, and control systems in a complex fulfillment center through classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job learning. The program progresses to a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician role upon completion.

The apprentice will train at Vincennes University, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Bakersfield College, Ogeechee Technical College, or Dallas

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to enroll in and attend a 9-week training at one of four colleges: Vincennes University (Vincennes, IN), Lehigh Carbon Community College (Allentown, PA), Bakersfield College (Bakersfield, CA), Ogeechee Technical College (Statesboro, GA), or Dallas College – Eastfield Campus (Dallas, TX).
• Able to complete one year of On-the-Job Learning (OJL) at home site after training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with ability to create and manage documents effectively.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas.

Responsibilities

• Safety: follow work processes closely at school and on the shop floor to ensure a safe environment.
• Maintenance: perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to detect and prevent problems.
• Monitor: analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems and components.
• Support: learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers in a lab environment.
• Communication: work well within a team in school and OJL.
