Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice to learn installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic and control systems in a large distribution center. You will train through classroom, lab, and on-the-job learning, and advance to Mechatronics & Robotics Technician on completion.

The program includes a 9-week college training at Vincennes University, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Bakersfield College, Ogeechee Technical College, or Dallas College – Eastfield.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to enroll in and attend a 9-week training at one of four colleges (Vincennes Univ., Lehigh Carbon CC, Bakersfield College, Ogeechee Tech College, or Dallas College – Eastfield).
• Able to complete one year of On-the-Job Learning at home site after successful training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Safety: follow work processes at school and on the shop floor to ensure a safe environment.
• Maintenance: perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance and test equipment.
• Monitoring: analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems and components.
• Support: learn PLCs and work with Automation Engineers in a lab environment.
• Communication: work well within a team in school and OJL.
