Job summary

RIF Robotics Corp. in Atlanta seeks a Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineer for a 60-day contract to design and build the physical system. You will develop CAD models, perform 3D printing, select hardware components, and integrate embedded software and servo motors on real-world hardware.

The role requires in-person work on Georgia Tech's campus 4-5 days per week, with potential full-time transition if a strong mutual fit, including salary and equity package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hardware and electrical design.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
• Experience with RS-232/485, I2C, SPI protocols.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets.
• Strong collaboration across mechanical, electrical and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing and reviewing CAD models that combine 3D printed parts and off-the-shelf hardware components.
• 3D printing models, assembling models, and testing models.
• Assembling robotic workcells with extruded aluminum, 3D printed parts, and wiring assemblies (prototype numbers).
• Identifying parts for purchase (bolts, belts, motors, wires, chassis components, etc.)
