Job summary

Voyager Technologies, a space, defense, and national security technology company, seeks a Mechatronics Engineer to design, integrate, and sustain mechatronic systems for rocket motor production on site in Pueblo, CO. You will work across mechanical, electrical, and software domains in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements include a bachelor's in a related engineering field with 3 years of hands-on mechatronics experience (or equivalent) and proficiency with PLCs, sensors, and control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical engineering with related hands-on experience.
• Experience designing, building, and commissioning mechatronic systems.
• Experience integrating hardware across subsystems including PLCs, sensors, actuators, and software control layers.
• Strong programming aptitude in Python, C++, or C#.
• Experience in regulated industries with safety culture and compliance requirements.
• Strong documentation habits and cross-functional communication.
• Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and commission mechatronic systems for production of solid rocket motors and energetic materials.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated systems to maximize uptime and throughput.
• Integrate hardware with software control layers and data pipelines; execute system validation plans.
• Author and maintain schematics, test records, validation reports, and change logs.
• Identify process improvements to reduce cycle time and errors.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Safety, and Compliance.
• Apply structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate design and troubleshooting workflows.
