Job summary
Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT seeks an Automation & Data Specialist to oversee MES ownership, data integration, and digital manufacturing initiatives. You will connect machines and analytics, develop dashboards, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing workflows with operations, engineering, IT, and quality teams.
The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing automation, strong troubleshooting, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical field such as Mechatronics or Automation.
- 3+ years supporting manufacturing equipment, automation or industrial controls.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently with shifting priorities and strong problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Ensure real-time production data accuracy from machines and sensors.
- Connect data to MES, machine monitoring, ERP and analytics platforms.
- Troubleshoot data collection, network, PLC, sensor issues affecting visibility.
- Develop dashboards, data collection methods and automated reporting.
- Lead MES ownership and continuous improvement for manufacturing execution.
- Support automation and robotics projects and ROI analyses.
