Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a hands-on Mechatronics / Automation Specialist to support hardware automation test benches and robotic fixtures in a lab setting. You will build, wire, maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical stations while interfacing with Python scripts to run tests and isolate failures.

The ideal candidates bring robotics data-capture experience, fixturing and wiring skills, and proficiency with bench tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating collaborative/industrial robotic arms for data capture.
• Experience building and wiring electromechanical test fixtures.
• Proficient in Python for hardware interfacing and debugging.
• Strong ability to label data and maintain logs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate collaborative/industrial robotic arms to collect consistent motion and sensor datasets.
• Assemble and maintain electromechanical test setups including wiring and sensor mounting.
• Use multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes to diagnose faults and signal issues.
• Read, run, and modify Python scripts for hardware control and data collection pipelines.
• Systematically triage failures across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
