Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a Maintenance Technician apprentice for a comprehensive program at a major distribution operation. This paid training blends classroom instruction with on-the-job work to develop you into a skilled Maintenance or Controls Technician.

Participants tackle electrical and mechanical challenges in material handling, perform preventative maintenance, and document tasks while supporting a safety‑first culture and CBRE’s standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment.
• Experience using hand tools and, where applicable, powered tools.
• Familiarity with documenting preventive maintenance routines.

Responsibilities

• Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
