Job summary

Brose North America Inc. invites you to join a structured three-year apprenticeship at our New Boston plant site, starting at $16/hour with a $1/hour raise each year.

The program includes tuition coverage and a $200 weekly school stipend, and is guided by a Technical Trainer. You will learn mechatronics, mechanical and electrical systems, fabricate parts, draw and design pneumatic and electronic schematics, program simple PLCs, and ABB robot programs.

Qualifications

• Complete guided training program led by Technical Trainer.
• Finish the program at an entry level of Technician with successful completion of the IHK/PAL Examinations.
• Upon completion, commit to fulltime employment with Brose for two years.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills to understand Preventative/Predictive Maintenance procedures at New Boston or Jefferson locations.
• Develop skills to fabricate parts from raw material.
• Develop skills to draw/design simple pneumatic systems and follow pneumatic schematics of complex machines/lines.
• Develop skills to draw/design simple electronic systems and follow electronic schematics.
• Develop skills to program/design simple PLC programs and follow existing PLC programs.
• Develop skills to program simple ABB robot programs and follow existing ABB robot programs.
