Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to help deliver and maintain high-quality software by testing before integration. This hybrid role sits within the Infrastructure Software Integration and Build Factory team of the Mechatronic Software Platform organization in Michigan.

You will lead cross-functional teams to define test scenarios, verify controller functionality on benches or vehicles, and troubleshoot complex system interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Software/Mech/CE and 4+ years in software integration.
• Experience in SW development/testing, instrumentation and benches (e.g. dSPACE).
• Proficiency with Python and/or C.
• Strong analytical, ownership and on-schedule delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to define and document thorough and efficient test scenarios.
• Verify controller functionality on a bench or vehicle using advanced testing methods and tools on time and with quality to meet program milestones.
• Troubleshoot, identify and root‑cause problems in system features and controller hardware, software, calibrations, etc.
• Create action plans to root cause elusive software issues and develop automated test procedures.
