Job summary

H&G Systems in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking an experienced Mechanical Welding Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial and industrial piping projects. You will direct pipefitters, welders, foremen, and field personnel to meet schedules while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role requires a 6G welding certification, 10+ years in piping/welding, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial or industrial piping/welding experience.
• 5+ years of field leadership as Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical piping systems.
• Current 6G Welding Certification.
• Strong stick and MIG welding knowledge and proficiency.
• Ability to read blueprints, piping drawings, weld maps, and project specifications.
• Proven ability to plan manpower, lead crews, and maintain field productivity.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality control, and piping installation standards.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with project management, other trades, and field personnel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for commercial and industrial mechanical piping projects.
• Direct and develop pipefitters, welders, foremen, and other field personnel.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and daily work activities to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate piping activities with project managers, general contractors, other trades, and field leadership.
• Read and interpret blueprints, piping drawings, specifications, weld maps, and other project documents.
• Oversee piping layout, fabrication, installation, welding, testing, and system completion.
• Monitor field productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Ensure piping installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, and H&G quality standards.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and hold crews accountable for safe work practices.
• Identify field conflicts and constructability issues early and work with project leadership to develop solutions.
• Communicate manpower, material, equipment, and scheduling needs to project leadership.
• Mentor foremen and craft professionals while helping develop the next generation of field leaders

H&G Systems is hiring an experienced Mechanical Welding Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial and industrial mechanical projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

We're looking for a proven piping professional who can lead crews, drive production, maintain high safety and quality standards, and take ownership of field execution from planning through completion.
