Job summary

Averro is seeking a Test Engineer to lead the full test process for high-pressure gas systems, combustion equipment, and custom units in Seattle. This hands-on role shapes engineering decisions through rigorous validation and practical testing.

You will develop test plans, run mechanical and thermal tests, set up data acquisition, and report results to support design choices. Safety and instrument upkeep are essential responsibilities in the lab.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience as a test engineer.
• Experience designing and building test stands and instrumentation with data acquisition for pressure, flow, and temperature.
• Ability to write clear, standalone test reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document test plans for products across sales orders and engineering projects, including custom units.
• Execute engineering validation testing, primarily mechanical and thermal, against design requirements and applicable codes.
• Set up instrumentation and data acquisition systems; record and reduce test data.
• Report findings and performance conclusions to engineering to support design decisions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation when tests produce unexpected results.
• Coordinate with the machine shop and order parts as needed to support testing.
• Enforce safe test procedures and maintain lab equipment and data acquisition systems.
