Job summary

Averro is seeking a Test Engineer in Seattle to own the full test process across our product line, focusing on high-pressure gas systems, combustion equipment, and custom units.

You will develop test plans, execute validation tests, set up instrumentation and DAQ, and report findings to influence design decisions. A BS in ME and 3+ years of hands-on testing are required, with a strong hands-on lab focus.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a test engineer.
• Experience designing and building test stands and instrumentation, including data acquisition for pressure, flow, and temperature.
• Ability to write clear, complete test reports that stand alone without additional explanation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document test plans for products across sales orders and engineering projects, including custom units.
• Execute engineering validation testing, primarily mechanical and thermal, against design requirements and applicable codes.
• Set up instrumentation and data acquisition systems; record and reduce test data.
• Report findings and performance conclusions to engineering to support design decisions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation when tests produce unexpected results.
• Coordinate with the machine shop and order parts as needed to support testing.
• Enforce safe test procedures and maintain lab equipment and data acquisition systems.
