Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA is seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics for our Calvert, AL site. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair industrial machinery to ensure smooth production operations.

Responsibilities include dismantling and reassembling equipment, using precision tools, and coordinating with management on downtime; travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance preferred; pay rate depends on experience.
• Crane/Forklift—training provided to obtain certification.
• Proper use of precision tools (Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Indicators).
• Safety gear usage required: boots, hard hat, glasses, gloves, ear plugs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery by performing preventive maintenance per manuals and specs.
• Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, welds, and repairs industrial equipment.
• Uses hoists, cranes and hand tools to move and install equipment.
• Locates problems by observing operation and using precision instruments.
• Removes defective parts and reduces downtime with routine maintenance.
• Sets up and operates machine tools to rework or make parts.
• Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
