Responsibilities

• Produce test fixtures and assemble prototype components.
• Lead a team of technicians and assist engineers with test plans.
• Install, service, repair, and modify elevator systems and subsystems.
• Troubleshoot elevator systems and test fixtures.
• Operate machine shop equipment including CNC mills, lathes, and brakes.
• Read requirements and specifications to ensure correct components.
• Provide training to newer employees on products and processes.
• Adhere to safety procedures and SOPs.

TK Elevator

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician III in Atlanta, GA.

Work with engineers to assist in developing test equipment for elevator components, assemblies, and systems and with installing elevator subsystems, components, and mockups. The position includes general lab maintenance, conducting tests, component fabrication, and assembly of test fixtures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Produce test fixtures
• Lead a team of technicians
• Assist engineers with performing test plans
• Perform the installation, removal, service, repair, and modifications of elevator systems
• Troubleshoot elevator systems
• Troubleshoot test fixtures
• Perform structural modifications to the hoist ways
• Read requirements and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used
• Provide training for newer employees on products and processes
• Operates with limited direction
• Operate machine shop equipment
• Operate CNC mill, lathe, and brake
• Assemble prototype components
• Perform Welding
• Perform Shipping and Receiving duties
• Works with others to create SOPs and create/implement safety protocols
• Adherence to all company safety procedures and standards
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned with limited supervision
• Successful Completion of elevator and safety training

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years of college, technical institute courses, or equivalent work experience , preferred
• Forklift and scissor lift certification, preferred4-6 years of equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years of elevator experience
• OSHA 10
• Welding Certification
• Comprehension of general mechanical engineering concepts required.
• Possess effective verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated experience with the use of computer-assisted engineering tools and general knowledge of test equipment.
• Possess the ability to closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the functions of the job.
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools
• Must possess good customer service skills
• Maintain a Clean Environment
• Adherence to corporate compliance policy, including performing all duties in a professional and responsible manner
• Completion of work in a timely and efficient manner
