Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. is seeking a Mechanic II to perform tasks safely per EHS policies and OSHA standards. The role requires troubleshooting daily machine issues and supporting maintenance projects while mentoring junior mechanics.

You will interact with production and maintenance teams to enhance day-to-day plant operations and be on-call as needed. The position offers hands-on work in a manufacturing setting with opportunities for skill development and career growth within a leading roofing

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years related experience.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work at elevated heights.
• Learn and use Maximo CMMS and basic Windows navigation.
• Work around chemicals in Shingle and Nonwoven Plants.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily machine issues.
• Support medium- and long-term maintenance projects.
• Mentor less-experienced mechanics.
• Interact with production and maintenance teams to improve plant operations.
• On-call duty as needed.
