GAF Materials Corp. is seeking a Mechanic II to support plant maintenance in Tampa, FL. The role involves performing lubrication, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and ultrasound analysis to keep production equipment running smoothly.

The position requires basic safety training completion, assembly of work orders in MAXIMO, and hands-on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting across multiple systems. Able to operate forklifts and ladders; 5S housekeeping is emphasized.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
2+ years in industrial manufacturing maintenance preferred.
Experience with MAXIMO Asset Management is a plus.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Complete required safety training before starting work.
Develop work order details and spare parts in MAXIMO.
Perform lubrication, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and ultrasound analysis.
Create and prioritize corrective work orders based on inspections.
Conduct root-cause failure analysis and implement fixes.
Operate forklifts and man lifts and maintain equipment logs.
Test repaired equipment and communicate results to operators.
Maintain 5S storage, and ensure safe, organized work areas.
