Role Overview

• Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for maintenance work.
• Actively participate in using on-the-job safety tools.
• Review job packs and identify any safety issues before beginning work.
• Execute work as planned and record technical history as required.
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to the Execution FLS.
• Request permits and notify supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to effectively describe field conditions and recommend solutions.
• Ability to work well in a team and assist others.
• Adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
• Certification or equivalent professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting.
• Optional: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Experience

• Discipline appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps.
• Team Player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority and willingness to assist others.
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
