Job summary

Jabil is hiring a Mechanical Technician to support assembly, maintenance, and repair operations on a 10-hour shift schedule (Monday–Thursday, starting at 4pm) with a 10% shift differential. The role requires precise mechanical work, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a shop/industrial environment.

Responsibilities include assembling, installing, and repairing components with hand, power, and pneumatic tools; reading detailed instructions; inspecting work

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work on ladders up to 6 feet.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, installation, and repair using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Read and follow detailed work instructions and production guidelines.
• Inspect components and completed work for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
• Operate equipment safely following workplace procedures.
• Perform light computer work including data entry and reporting.
• Work on ladders up to 6 feet as needed.
