Job summary

Jabil in Memphis, TN is seeking a dependable Mechanical Technician to support assembly, maintenance, and repair operations using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail and strict safety compliance.

You will work Fri–Sun shifts with a 15% differential, read and follow detailed work instructions, inspect components for quality, maintain tools and a clean workspace, and perform light data entry and documentation of completed tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and work on ladders up to 6 feet.
• Follow work instructions and work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, installation, and repair tasks using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment
• Read and follow detailed work instructions and production guidelines
• Inspect components and completed work for accuracy and quality
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment
• Safely operate equipment and follow PPE procedures
• Perform light data entry, reporting, and documentation of completed tasks
• Work on ladders up to 6 feet
