Job summary

Arke in Torrance, CA is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support assembly efforts on a first-of-a-kind prototype aircraft. You will work against engineering drawings and specifications to assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical components and systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with tools, precision measurement, and inspection techniques, plus the ability to read schematics and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, manufacturing, or a related technician role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical tools, precision measuring equipment, and inspection techniques.
• Experience working in aerospace, defence, manufacturing, or another highly regulated engineering environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical components and systems per drawings.
• Perform mechanical inspections, measurements, troubleshooting, and functional testing.

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical components and systems in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform mechanical inspections, measurements, troubleshooting, and functional testing of equipment and assemblies.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measurement equipment, and mechanical test equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues, supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and comply with all quality, safety, and defence-industry procedures.
