Job summary

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, analytical, documentation and computer skills.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience; welding and machining preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enter work orders into the appropriate computer systems, monitor required work, and keep track of parts in stock.
  • Carry out expert upkeep and repairs on a variety of mechanical and physical structures, working from sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Determine the priority for the planned equipment shutdown by performing preventative routine maintenance, diagnostics, replacing parts, and testing equipment operations.
  • Examine procedures for their relevance and evaluate the suitability of engineering equipment.
  • Examine mechanical equipment to identify potential problems and participate in process improvement efforts to identify inefficiencies and design flaws.
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve problems and determine root cause, recommending improvements and making mechanical adjustments.
  • Manage and collaborate with vendors and contractors to monitor and enhance output while maintaining plant safety.
  • Perform operations as required to meet schedules and quality requirements and inform management of issues and material needs.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized following safety protocols and equipment operating instructions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This individual will contribute their professional and technical knowledge in order to increase the effectiveness of our operating systems, enhance the quality of our products, and identify more cost-effective ways to achieve these objectives while lowering expenses. This individual will perform maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, avoid mechanical failure, and modify, replace, and repair parts and components as needed to keep the plant running safely and effectively.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school; or high school diploma or equivalent, and minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and computer skills required
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience is required.
  • Experience in welding and machining is preferred.
