Job summary

X-Bow Launch Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Luling, TX to support propellant manufacturing system development and operation. You will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for installation, commissioning and deployment of hardware and control subsystems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical and fluidic systems, familiarity with SolidWorks CAD and PDM, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance and meet ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical and fluidic systems.
• Experience scoping pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, and precision flow meters.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD and PDM or equivalent.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers/technicians.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; compliance with ITAR as a US Person.

Responsibilities

• Support propellant manufacturing system development and operation.
• Participate in verification, upgrades, anomaly resolution, design, analysis, testing and deployment of hardware and control subsystems.
• Identify blockers and guide processes to address performance shortfalls.
• Meet installation, commissioning and deployment schedules for components and sub-assemblies.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Technician, you will have a key role in supporting our propellant manufacturing system development and operation. You will join a multi-disciplinary team responsible for all aspects of requirement verifications, upgrade and anomaly resolution design, analysis, test, and deployment of hardware and control sub-systems.

You’ll know you’re successful in this role when you’ve identified blockers, guided processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls, met schedule goals regarding installation, commissioning and deployment of components, sub-assemblies, and top-level facilities.

To thrive in this role, you must have demonstrated success in mechanical hardware installation, repair, and selection. An aptitude for hands-on assembly and integration is required and is best shown by your work history and passions when off the clock.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with installation/testing/commissioning of mechanical and fluidic systems/facilities
• Experience scoping pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, precision flow meters.
• Familiarity with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers/technicians.
• Demonstrated electro/mechanical hands‑assembly and trouble‑shooting aptitude.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR.
