  • Problem‑solving: They are skilled at diagnosing problems, finding cost‑effective solutions, and responding to emergency situations in a timely manner.
  • Project management: They may oversee renovation or construction projects, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and help with budget estimates.
  • Record keeping: They maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inspection logs.
Required
  • Technical expertise: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is crucial, sometimes with specialized knowledge for a particular facility, such as a manufacturing plant.
  • Problem‑solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential for diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
  • Attention to detail: An ability to notice small details during inspections can prevent major problems down the line.
  • Organization: They must be organized to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and maintenance records.
  • Communication: The role requires clear communication to interact with building occupants, management, and outside contractors.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Revit and the ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with other collaborative tools like Confluence, Jira, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.
