Job summary

Ashley Furniture seeks an Electromechanical Technician to maintain and repair electromechanical drives, sensors, and automated machinery to support manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to diagnose, repair, and optimize equipment, ensure safety, and document work in the CMMS. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems and PLCs.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field (Associate degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with ability to work safely on 480V three-phase power systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience servicing hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission equipment.
  • PLC experience in ladder logic and troubleshooting programmable controllers (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Blueprint reading proficiency to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment including conveyors and CNC machinery.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems using electrical schematics, PLC logic, mechanical drawings, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance following schedules, including inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and part replacement.
  • Work with electrical systems from 120V to 480V, including motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels.
  • Service hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, belts, drives, and power transmission equipment.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and building automation systems.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance in CMMS.
  • Ensure safety compliance with lockout/tagout, OSHA, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance during planned downtime.

Key Responsibilities


  • Diagnose and repairelectrical and mechanical failures on production equipment including conveyors, automated machinery, CNC equipment, robotics, and material handling systems

  • Troubleshoot complex systemsusing electrical schematics, PLC logic, mechanical drawings, and diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement solutions

  • Perform preventive maintenanceon manufacturing equipment following established schedules, including inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and replacement of components

  • Work with electrical systemsranging from 120V to 480V including motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels

  • Service mechanical systemsincluding hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, drives, and power transmission equipment

  • Program and troubleshootprogrammable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and building automation systems

  • Respond to emergency breakdownsquickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime and restore equipment to operational status

  • Maintain accurate documentationof repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment history in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

  • Ensure safety complianceby following lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards for all maintenance activities

  • Collaborate with production teamsto schedule maintenance during planned downtime and communicate equipment status to supervisors and management


Qualifications
