Georgia-Pacific's Muskogee Paper Mill in Oklahoma seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Trainer to design, develop, and deliver maintenance-focused training for operations and maintenance staff, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with engineers and supervisors, create qualification materials, and evaluate training effectiveness while staying current with industry practices and emerging maintenance technologies.

Georgia-Pacific\'s Consumer Products Division is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Trainer for our Paper Mill in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Mechanical Technical Trainer develops and delivers maintenance-focused training that equips employees with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to safely maintain, troubleshoot, and improve mill equipment reliability. This role partners with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance workforce capability and support equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.

What You Will Do

• Mentor team members and advance PBM in ways that are consistent with our Values.
• Design, develop, and implement mechanical maintenance training programs for operations and maintenance employees.
• Deliver training focused on preventive and corrective maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and equipment reliability.
• Facilitate classroom, field, and hands‑on instruction for mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic procedures.
• Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to support employee development and leverage specialized training resources.
• Research, coordinate, prioritize, and request funding for external maintenance training opportunities.
• Assess employee competency and provide targeted coaching and instruction to address development opportunities.
• Collaborate with maintenance supervisors, planners, and engineers to ensure training content aligns with operational and maintenance requirements.
• Develop and maintain training materials, qualification documentation, manuals, assessments, and evaluation tools.
• Monitor trainee progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Promote safe work practices and reinforce compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Stay current with emerging maintenance technologies, reliability strategies, and industry best practices.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience developing and delivering technical training programs in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical, or electrical environments.
• Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Experience facilitating both classroom presentations, public speaking, and hands‑on training sessions.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Technical certification, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Reliability, or a related field.
• Pulp and Paper experience
• Experience developing qualification programs, competency assessments, and technical learning curricula.
