Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Mechanical Systems & Support Designer. This role will be based out of our facility in Greenwood, SC. We offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates in the United States.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $69,000 - $101,000. The position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
What You’ll Do
- Deploy and support Front End Engineering systems for the assigned product line.
- Support the development of product‑line specific training documentation for engineering software tools and processes.
- Provide onsite support as the first point of escalation for systems‑related issues, determining root cause, urgency, and communications as necessary.
- Prioritize MI and DA system issue tickets through individual contribution and coordination of other Eaton resources.
- Maintain familiarity with COD processes for the assigned product line, including application/engineering decisions, methods, product offerings, and design standards.
- Gather requests for system enhancements and communicate them to the appropriate development manager.
- Support continuous testing for system enhancements and bug fixes as they are deployed.
- Be knowledgeable of MI parts picking logic to troubleshoot parts picking errors and scope updates with product‑line enhancements.
- Be available for after‑hours and weekend support.
- Participate in product‑line meetings on Front End Systems projects and continuous improvement activities, driving best practices and knowledge sharing across engineering, design, and systems teams.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- At least an Associate’s degree with a mechanical focus from an accredited institution.
- 3 years of drafting and/or engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position; candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC, unless they are active‑duty military service members.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience with Eaton’s ETO software tools such as Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, Plant Order Manager, Pick Work Bench, etc.
Position Criteria:
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Prior experience as a COD.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient use of Eaton’s ETO software systems, AutoCAD and/or Inventor.

- This position is responsible for supporting front‑end systems for the PDCA/CPA division within the general direction of management.
