Job summary

SPIEgroup on Block 17 requires an on-site Maintenance Supervisor to organize and oversee offshore maintenance operations. You will lead a multinational team, mentor staff, and coordinate with specialists during planning and execution, ensuring adherence to HSE regulations and safe work practices.

Fluent English is required; French and Portuguese are advantageous. You will participate in daily and weekly site meetings and monitor performance of high‑voltage, turbine, compressor, and pump systems

Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in maintenance on oil and gas production installations.
  • Basic knowledge of the oil and gas treatment process and related equipment.
  • Ability to lead multinational teams and mentor staff.
  • English required; French and Portuguese are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organises on site maintenance operations within his responsibility.
  • Leads teams and assists specialists in planning and coordinating work.
  • Ensures HSE regulations and SOPs are followed during maintenance.
  • Monitors utilities and equipment performance under his supervision.
  • Mentors team members and participates in on site meetings.

Job description

Organises on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility. With his teams assists specialists on the organisation and coordination of the work. Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected, especially procedures related to Work Permits, as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during preparation and performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility. Monitors the functioning of utilities and equipment placed under his responsibility. Takes part in daily, weekly and coordination meetings on site. Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within his teams, and actively participates in this himself. Manages the team of technicians directly under his responsibility.

Methods

Identifies, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any delicate operations and ensures that proper studies of the risks involved are carried out beforehand. Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts. Suggests improvements and requests modifications.

Quality Assurance

Verifies the quality of his teams' interventions by frequent on-site checks. Ensures that the members of his teams have the qualifications and skills required for the tasks entrusted to them and, if need be, suggests corrective measures.

Perfil

5 to 10 years’ experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations. Basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations. Specific Professional Knowledge

  • CMMS: SAP R3 is an advantage.
  • Mechanical: turbines (LM2500, FRAME V, MARS/CENTAUR, SOLAR, etc.) - compressors (THERMODYN) - pumps (FLOWSERVE, SULZER).
  • Electrical: high voltage cells, generators, UPS.
  • Instrumentation: Nothing special.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to lead and motivate multi-national teams.
  • Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others.
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.
  • Languages: English necessary, French and Portuguese an advantage.
