The University of Houston System is seeking a supervisor to coordinate staff in installation, repair, maintenance and preventive maintenance of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, controls and exhaust systems and sub-systems on campus. This role requires a Texas driver’s license and involves security considerations for critical infrastructure.

Supervises and coordinates the activities of staff in the installation, repair, maintenance and preventive maintenance of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, controls and exhaust systems and their sub-systems. Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the University infrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuous connections for the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the employee from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.

High School Diploma or GED required.
MQ: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. This might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Education verification will be conducted upon acceptance of an employment offer.
Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience.
Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job‑related experience.
Requires technical certification or licensing directly related to the job, as specified on a job description addendum.
