Randstad USA is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent for a major Atlanta-area project. You will manage mechanical installs, HVAC piping, and equipment, coordinating with clients and subcontractors to keep the project on track. Local candidates can expect home every evening on a long-term engagement.

Ideal candidates have extensive construction leadership experience, strong communication and safety records, and proven ability to drive progress on complex mechanical jobs.

• Oversee overall construction effort including safety, productivity, materials and scheduling.
• Ensure subcontractor contractual compliance on mechanical construction activities.
• Build effective client and subcontractor relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project management to develop procedures, documents and standards.
• Authorize purchases and field design changes under supervision of CM/PM.
• Maintain site safety reviews, PTAs and TSOs; document progress with daily reports.

Job Summary

Mechanical Superintendent needed in Atlanta GA for a large construction project. In this role you will focus on Mechanical Install, HVAC Piping, and other Equipment. This is a great opportunity for local candidates to work on a major long term project and be home every evening! Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in construction leadership.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall supervision of construction effort, which includes: safety, productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, materials management, scheduling, engineering, and contractual performance of the project.
• Responsible for subcontractor contractual compliance on designated mechanical construction related activities
• Build effective client and subcontractor relationships. Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, and other contractors.
• Collaborate with project management to develop and implement project procedures, working documents, and standards.
• Authorize purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc., under supervision of Construction Manager and Project Manager.
• Responsible for overall project safety. Reviews and audits site specific safety documentation, including Pre-Task Analysis (PTAs) and Task Safety Observations (TSOs) on a regular basis.
• Complete daily field reports and take daily pictures to document construction progress.

Qualifications

• 7 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on Mechanical projects.
• Must have excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and a strong safety background.
