Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in Wickenburg, AZ, seeks a Mechanical SolidWorks Designer for an immediate long-term, TEMP-HIRE role in heavy equipment and road maintenance. You will use SolidWorks to design, model, and detail weldments, hydraulics, pneumatics, and E/M wiring harnesses for large machines.

Produce production-ready drawings, BOMs, and process instructions; support Sales, Customer Service, Inventory and Engineering. On-site 4/10 schedule Monday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• AAS or equivalent experience; 3+ years using SOLIDWORKS in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with 3D CAD modeling, parametric design and detail drafting; ideally product design
• Experience with large machine structures and metal fabrication/mfg. processes (machining, welding, assembly)
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, machine controls
• Ideally experience with sheetmetal, fixture/tooling design, electronics and machine control systems

Responsibilities

• Use SOLIDWORKS for mechanical design and 3D CAD modeling of heavy equipment parts.
• Produce production-ready drawings, BOMs, process instructions, and documentation.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Customer Service, Inventory and Engineering.

In this role you will use SOLIDWORKS to do mechanical design, 3D CAD modeling and detail drafting of heavy equipment mechanical parts, welded and machined assemblies, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics and E/M wiring harnesses, etc. for large road maintenance equipment. You will produce production ready documentation including detailed drawings, BOMs, process instructions, and provide technical support to Sales, Customer Service, Inventory and Engineering.

This is a TEMP-HIRE position and must be worked on-site in Wickenburg, AZ. Work schedule is 4/10 hours days Monday-Thursday.

Pay Range is $30.00-$40.00/hr

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• AAS or equivalent experience, THREE years+ experience using SOLIDWORKS in a manufacturing environment, BSME a plus
• Must be proficient with 3D CAD modeling, parametric design and detail drafting; ideally product design
• Understanding and experience with large machine structures and mechanisms, metal fabrication/mfg. processes (machining, welding, assembly)
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, machine controls
• Ideally experience with sheetmetal, surface modeling, fixture/tooling design, electronics and machine control systems
