Job summary

PCC Airfoils, LLC in Douglas, GA is hiring a Rough Finishing Operative to perform Cut-off, Blast, Water Blast, Alloy Type Test, Snag, Green Sort and Marking. Must operate equipment efficiently and follow all safety rules. High school education required; Rough Finish experience preferred.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work daily overtime/weekend overtime as necessary. The role is in the Rough Finishing department with pay level H05.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.

Responsibilities

• Check routings for proper identification and operation routing.
• Operate pneumatic knockout unit.
• Cut-off castings, trim excess gating.
• Hand blast or water blast parts to remove excess ceramic material.
• Check alloy type.
• Snag grinding.
• Apply proper markings to castings using correct work instructions.
• Visually inspect work for obvious defects.
• Record on a daily basis all work performed by operational codes.
• Keep work area clean, orderly and in a safe working condition; follow all safety rules.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor.

Normal effort required. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, approximately 10-20 times per hour. Use chain hoist for heavier weights.

Responsibility

Responsible for self. Make sure parts meet quality standards. Must be willing to work daily overtime and weekend overtime as necessary.

Job Conditions

Dirty working conditions due to ceramic pieces and dust.
