Job summary

Powers, an HVAC service provider, seeks a skilled technician to analyze and maintain commercial systems on-site. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• 3–10 years of commercial HVAC experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC systems.
• Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes.
• Maintain maintenance records.
• Order and maintain parts as needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
• Manage relationships with all vendor accounts.
• Properly maintain and safeguard Powers assets.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

• Understands and has mastered the fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and its temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and distribution.
• Understands and has mastered all types of HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates in conjunction with the other components and how that impacts the overall operations of the system as a whole.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift and carry 10-50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, may experience prolonged and irregular hours, and work with frequent interruptions.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening and have a clean driving record.
