Job summary

Powers is seeking a Controls Technician to install, service and repair HVAC controls in commercial settings. You will read schematics and blueprints, interpret safety and operating instructions, and ensure proper operation of building controls across various systems.

Responsibilities include installing components with high quality, organizing work to meet deadlines, and collaborating with teams or working independently to complete projects.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer relations and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic computer knowledge with ability to learn more detail operation.
• Must be Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
• Must be Reliable – The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
• Must be Responsible – Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct.
• 1+ years’ Electrical and/or HVAC controls/installations experience.
• Understanding of Building Automation Software (BAS).
