Job summary

AESSEAL Inc. seeks a skilled CAD designer and drafter to create detailed manufacturing drawings for seals, components, and support systems. You will modify existing seal designs to meet customer equipment needs and produce 2D and 3D models in approved software.

The role requires reading customer drawings, performing dimensional analysis, coordinating with manufacturing, and maintaining engineering records. A tech degree and 3–5 years drafting experience are preferred; on-site work in Odessa, TX

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
  • 3–5 years of drafting, design, or technical support experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. 5–7 years’ experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering and manufacturing drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and assembly drawings.
  • Experience with TeamCenter, PDM systems, or other engineering document control systems.

  • Perform dimensional comparisons between customer equipment and existing seal designs.
  • Coordinate with workshop and manufacturing personnel to resolve design-related issues.
  • Assist with custom seal designs and engineered modifications.
  • Support testing and validation activities.

  • Assist with quotation preparation by providing technical reviews and design support.
  • Coordinate with workshop and manufacturing personnel to resolve design-related issues.
  • Engineering Support
  • Assist with custom seal designs and engineered modifications.
  • Support testing and validation activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain technical databases and engineering documentation.

Physical Requirements
