Smiths Group is seeking an engineer to join the Regional Engineering team in Pasadena, TX. The role involves providing engineering support for sales and aftermarket services, ensuring customer requirements are met through application support and technical guidance.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical seals. Responsibilities include generating engineering specifications, troubleshooting, and creating proposal drawings. This is a fully onsite position with a focus on collaboration and support.
The engineer works within the Regional Engineering team to support Sales and Aftermarket to meet customer requirements. They will provide application support to global drawing offices for engineering orders and proposals. Where necessary, the engineer will apply standard engineering techniques and consult specialists within other Engineering Solutions teams. They will provide engineering support for troubleshooting, commissioning issues, escalating support as necessary and working with Central Expertise as needed.
