Mechanical Repairer

Hourly Wage: $32.45

Primary Duties

• Receive instructions for scheduled and emergency repairs, installations, and inspections. Read prints and sketches.
• Inspect mill equipment for defects and determine repair strategies to minimize production interruptions.
• Perform welding and burning for repair and maintenance on equipment, buildings, and tools.
• Dismantle, repair, replace, install, and lubricate mechanical equipment; adjust for proper operation; assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts.
• Change, set up, and adjust equipment according to production schedules.
• Operate high lift and other machinery as needed; monitor fluid and gas levels and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must meet company fall protection requirements
• Experience with stick welding/cutting, oxygen acetylene torches, and basic mechanical and hydraulic understanding
