Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson is seeking an ASU Mechanical Reliability Trainer to develop, deliver, and manage comprehensive mechanical training programs across the Bulk Operations organization. The role ensures progression through competency levels and acts as the SME for mechanical condition monitoring.

The trainer will lead classroom, hands-on, and field training, create assessments and certifications, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen mechanical reliability across ASU sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on mechanical maintenance in heavy industrial environments (ASU, Petrochemical, Refining, Power).
• 7+ years experience in mechanical condition monitoring programs (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis, alignment/balancing).
• 5+ years experience developing or delivering technical training.
• 5+ years experience performing or supporting condition monitoring programs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and deliver mechanical training curricula covering rotating equipment, static equipment, compresssors, pumps, cryogenic machinery, and ASU systems.
• Conduct classroom, hands-on, and field-based training for mechanical and performance technicians.
• Create training materials, assessments, certification pathways, and competency evaluations.
• Ensure training content reflects current industry standards, OEM guidance, and NSM best practices.
• Maintain progression schedules for technicians and track milestones.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and feedback to support employee growth.
• Collaborate with operations and reliability leadership to align progression with business needs.
• Develop and maintain standards for mechanical condition monitoring, supporting RCA and reliability initiatives.
