Job summary

Cascades' Greenpac Mill in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to drive equipment reliability, optimize asset performance, and lead RCA investigations to reduce unplanned downtime across the mill.

You will enhance preventive and predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis and other condition-monitoring methods, support capital projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in paper manufacturing or similar industrial setting.
• Experience with reliability programs and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of RCA, FMEA, RCM, TPM, Lean or Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Lead RCA investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Improve PM and PdM programs using condition-monitoring tools.
• Provide technical support for pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics.
• Lead and support capital projects from concept to implementation.
• Prepare specs, scopes of work, cost estimates, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Support Lean, RCM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
