Job summary

Global Cellulose Fibers is hiring a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to support the Columbus Modified Fiber plant in Columbus, MS. You will lead reliability efforts to maximize uptime and asset life, reducing unscheduled downtime and end-of-life failures between outages.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and external suppliers to implement maintenance initiatives, train staff, and drive RCFA and continuous improvement across the Manufacturing Work Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of three years' engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Non-degreed candidates with significant related experience will be considered.
• Experience in the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
• Proven safety record and leadership.
• Strong problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability initiatives to increase equipment uptime.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to execute MWS.
• Develop RCFA facilitation and action items.
• Support repairs and capital projects.
• Rotate with leaders for Weekend Duty.
