Job summary

Abbott Park, IL seeks a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to optimize asset performance across lifecycle stages, enhancing uptime and reducing total cost of ownership. You will drive PM/ PdM programs, perform RCFA/FMEA analyses, and lead capital improvement projects while collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external vendors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline preferred.
Minimum 3 years engineering/operational experience.
Knowledge of maintenance programs and reliability concepts (RCM, PdM).
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance and reliability initiatives within Maintenance Excellence program.
Coordinate plant shutdowns, maintenance budgets, and capital projects.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Analyze equipment performance data to identify reliability improvements.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to maintenance teams.
Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and engineering governance requirements.
