Job summary

Bayer is offering a Mechanical Engineer R&D Co-op in Pennsylvania (Indianola) for a 12-month program starting January or May 2027. You will design and test mechanical components and fixtures, and generate hardware test plans and protocols.

Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least the second year, plus coursework in statics, dynamics, physics, and statistics, are required; CAD/Matlab/Python are preferred. Salary range: $24.00–$45.50 per hour with possible benefits.

Responsibilities

• Design and test mechanical components and parts.
• Design and development of mechanical fixtures for hardware testing.
• Generate hardware test plans and protocols.
• Analyze test results and compose test reports.
• Troubleshoot problems during testing and own test methods.
• Provide readouts to the hardware team on progress.
