Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Mechanical Quality Engineer to join our team in East London, Eastern Cape. You will develop and implement quality control plans, conduct inspections, and analyze quality data to drive CAPA and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to resolve issues, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and delivering quality training to production personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in mechanical quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Proficient with statistical quality tools.
• Experience with 8D, 5 Whys for root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans for mechanical products.
• Conduct inspections and audits of components and assemblies.
• Analyze quality data and implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications.
