Job summary

Codeware is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Austin-based Software Quality Assurance Team. The role focuses on verifying mechanical calculations within our COMPRESS and INSPECT software, ensuring compliance with multiple codes and standards.

The position emphasizes problem solving, clear progress communication, and independence as well as teamwork. A strong QA mindset and programming exposure are considered assets for this full-time role in Austin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• At least one year experience with ASME pressure vessel, heat exchangers, piping, or storage tanks.
• Quality assurance exposure is an asset.
• Programming experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Verifies mechanical calculations programmed into Codeware’s COMPRESS and INSPECT software against codes and standards (ASME VIII Div 1 and 2, TEMA, API-579/510/570, B31.3, B31.4, API-653).
• Determines root causes of issues and works with the Development Team to address items before release.
• Helps extend the automated testing suite.
