Job summary

Jim Myers & Sons, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in North Carolina to lead engineered equipment projects from kickoff to closeout. You will coordinate across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing and Vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and customer alignment.

The PM will drive schedules, manage costs and margins, and ensure adherence to JMS milestone guidelines for successful project outcomes. Strong ERP experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, or MBA preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle including kickoff, scheduling, execution, shipment, commissioning, and closeout.
• Lead project execution in alignment with JMS guidelines and objectives; develop and manage schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Field Service, Vendors, and Customers.
• Monitor financial performance: forecasting, costs, EAC, and margin protection.
• Manage project scope and change orders prior to cost-impacting work.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, costs, procurement, manufacturing, and commitments.
• Coordinate vendor activities and long-lead procurement planning.
• Maintain visibility into fabrication progress, shipment schedules, and commissioning readiness.
• Provide proactive communication with customers, vendors, internal teams, and leadership.
• Maintain accurate documentation, forecasts, milestone tracking, and records.
• Support continuous improvement and disciplined execution within PM function.
