Job summary

NOOTER is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead industrial construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and cost effectiveness. This role includes directing project teams, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating subcontractors and client relations to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects.
  • Experience in construction estimating, cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and project financial management.
  • Experience leading field teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional construction personnel.
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction project management software.
  • Experience managing project safety, quality, schedule, and operational performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial construction projects from pre-construction planning through completion.

Day in the Life

A typical day as a Mechanical Project Manager involves leading multiple industrial construction activities while coordinating project teams, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will review project schedules, manpower plans, financial reports, forecasts, and cost controls while monitoring quality and safety performance across active job sites. As the primary client contact, you will communicate project status, address challenges, resolve issues, and align stakeholders on project objectives. You will collaborate closely with office and field personnel, oversee contract administration, support resource planning, evaluate project risks, and make critical decisions that impact productivity, schedule performance, cost management, and successful project delivery. Your leadership will directly contribute to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and the successful execution of complex industrial and commercial construction projects.
